Tips for Pressure Washing Your Deck

University All In One is always ready to get all your surfaces spic and span, but maybe you feel like giving a smaller project a go yourself. A deck is the start and we wanted to give you some tips to help you get a professional looking job done!

It’s important that you set your nozzle correctly before you start. You should use a 40″ spray pattern for optimal results. For a pressure washer dishing out less than 2,000 PSI, keep your nozzle about a foot away from the deck. At 2,000-3,000 PSI, your nozzle can be one to two feet away. At 3,000 PSI, your nozzle can be up to three feet away.

When you are ready to power wash your deck or patio you need to consider the cleanser carefully. Choosing the right power washing chemicals will be critical to obtaining good results when you clean your deck. You should always use a cleaning solution for your deck, even when it doesn’t look too dirty. You will not only do a smoother job but it will be easier and quicker.
